* Online Prelims will be conducted:
- 23rd October at 10 PM
- 24th October at 10 PM
- 25th October at 7 PM
* A set of questions will be uploaded on the documents section of the Xpressions 2009 website on each of the three days of the prelims at a pre-specified time.
* The teams have to download the document, answer the questions and send the solutions along with your team name, institute, city and names of the team members.
* You will be allowed 60 minutes to solve the questions after which you should post the solutions, late entries will be disqualified.
* The prelims will be held on 3 consecutive days so that teams can participate on the day of their choice. You are supposed to participate on any one of the 3 days.
* The questions will be general and will test your reasoning, logic and general awareness. It may cover GK, puzzles and questions on analyzing some situations or business problems.

Kurukshetra - the conch is blown

Kurukshetra is one of the flagship events of Xpressions and can proudly boast about its rich legacy of past 15 yrs. It is a corporate battle game, which tests the mettle of the best teams' representative of the top-notch B schools and the Corporates for what it takes to be a strategic Business Champion. Kurukshetra provides a platform to implement cross-functional strategic decisions by simulating a real world business scenario. It challenges the players to compete with the best, and prove their excellence before they walk away beaming in the glory of victory.
The game is played in following three phases:
Shankhnaad: Kurukshetra 09 proudly introduces Shankhnaad, the preliminary round of Kurukshetra. This online module would enable the preeminent minds of the country to compete with one another before they sweat it out in the final module at XIMB campus. The competition is open for both corporate and students of management institutions. The top ten teams qualify for the next round Kurukshetra.
Kurukshetra: It is that arena where the skills of the better are tested against the best. The teams are put through a simulated replica of the real life business scenario. Each team would have the opportunity to be a business unit, competing against one another for the same product category. The glory would be bestowed upon the one team that could emulate the success of real company by exuding an apt combination of operational, financial, marketing and human resource strategies.
Chakravyuh: The teams would now have to work their way out through the maze of a real world, bundled with its constraints and complexities. This Chakravyuh is solely won by teams who can assimilate all their knowledge and implement it to conquer the byzantine situations posed before them and take decisions in The Real World.
Keeping with the trend of preceding years, Kurukshetra '08 also was a huge success, with enormous students’ participation from elite B-schools in India and abroad and prizes worth Rs. 1 lakhs.

Helios, the Sun is rising..
Every year undergraduates from across the country wait with bated breaths for Xpressions to be a part of HELIOS which is undeniably the only game in a Management Fest in India that is exclusively dedicated towards the undergraduate students all over India.
This is the only B-school event where the participation is exclusively for undergraduate participants. The purpose is a ‘rite of initiation’ of sorts. What better than a game that borrows from the ancient God of the Sun?
It gives them a sneak peek into the B-School life of rigor and vitality with a strong dose of fun and entertainment. Helios not only tests undergraduates on a variety of parameters viz. General Knowledge, Mental Aptitude & Soft Skills, but also develops their Business Acumen on Finance, Marketing and Operations through various modules of the game.

HELIOS ‘08
HELIOS ‘08 began with a bang on the first day of Xpressions ‘08. Helios was a two day affair with teams from reputed undergraduate colleges across India. After two days of fun and competition Helios ‘08 concluded with Team from NIT, Rourkela edging out Teams from KIIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Madras to win the Finals.
